Early childhood educators are most effective when they facilitate the development of children's inquiry skills. This demands that teachers design and engineer educational experiences and classroom environments that focus on the interests and needs of children and support the development of cognition. In this session we will share ideas for planning a curriculum that provides opportunities for children from birth to age eight to engage in inquiry with invitations that support their interests and tap into their funds of knowledge. Participants will have an opportunity to engage in an inquiry learning experience that will provide them with ideas for engaging learners of all ages in experiences that matter.
