Regents' Center Work to be Featured at East Tennessee State Early Childhood Conference

The Director of the Regents' Center for Early Developmental Education, Beth Van Meeteren, will be a featured presenter at the 57th ETSU Annual Early Childhood Conference at the Meadowview Conference Resort & Convention Center in Kingsport, TN. The conference is put on by the Center of Excellence in Early Childhood Learning and Development at the East Tennessee State University and  focuses on professional development for educators and professionals working with young children birth to age 8. They serve an average of 800 to 1000 registrants from 10-12 states primarily in the southeast. The professional development is provided through workshops, networking, a research poster session, demonstration room, and a large exhibit hall for participants to visit. 

Van Meeteren will present a full day session on work developed through the Regents' Center's Center for Early Education in STEM: Using Games and Pattern Blocks to Develop Spatial Thinking and Mathematical Reasoning in K-3. She will also provide a session on conflict resolution.
