Sherri Peterson works as a Program Coordinator at the Regents’ Center for Early Developmental Education. She has been serving a variety of roles in early childhood education for over three decades. Sherri earned a B. S. in Child Development and an M.S. in Family and Consumer Science from Iowa State University and an MA in Educational Leadership at the University of Northern Iowa. She has worked as an early childhood teacher, lead teacher, STEM coach, and preschool instructional coach at Waterloo Community Schools and as an early childhood special education teacher, Early ACCESS Coordinator, and ECSE consultant for an area education agency in Northwest Iowa. She was introduced to constructivist education as a member of the Teacher Practitioner Council at UNI and was a teacher at the Freeburg School, a demonstration school for constructivist education, from 2003-2006. She has been presenting STEM workshops for the RCEDE since 2005
